and launch of the
2018 Maimonide Call for
Joint French-Israeli Research

DIGITAL HUMANITIES

frilThe French-Israeli High Council for Scientific and Technological cooperation (HCST) has chosen “Digital Humanities” as a priority research topic for 2018-2019. Hence, the French Embassy in Israel and the Israeli Ministry of Science, Technology and Space are offering a symposium on this topic which will bring together renowned French and Israeli scientific experts and open the way for excellence-based cooperations.

The symposium will be held in Jerusalem, with the following program:

■       27th February, 17:00-20:00: Opening ceremony and key lectures at the Maiersdorf Faculty Club, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Mount Scopus Campus

■       28th February, 9:00-19:00: Symposium at the Maiersdorf Faculty Club, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Mount Scopus Campus

■       1st March, 9:00-13:00: Symposium and closing session at the Centre de Recherche Français de Jerusalem (CRFJ), 3 Shimshon Street, Baka, Jerusalem

A detailed program will be sent soon. The event is open, but please register in advance here.

The symposium will also launch a bilateral Call for Proposals within which three joint research projects in the field of Digital Humanities will benefit from a financial support of up to 80.000€ yearly over a period of two years.
